Today is the end of the Marketing Project. Its my latest post ...
I hope people who read my blog were interested in the subject I studied. For my personal assessment of the project, I think it was very interesting. I aggree that I've chosen a subject which interest me a lot but I've learnt a lot of new things and ... a lot of new vocabulary ! I've heard of new kind of marketing in U.S., I've heard of the Stock Exchange, I've heard of new products I'll buy, ... I'm sure if I didn't have made this blog, I didn't heard of all interesting things because I don't read this kind of article. It was too a good project because I had to improve my vocabulary and the translation of my ideas. It was a bit difficult because I didn't have to copie the article but give my ideas. So I've chosen french articles to not copie it. It was a good experience to manipulate and learn things about the internet. The only thing I would change is to give a deadline each week, because sometimes, we forget to write our post ...

Incredible...!

Before, luxury bags were only for "Happy Few" women.

Actually in U.S., every women can afford to hand a such bag. Since June 2004, it's possible to borrow all luxury bags you want. It's really incredible ! You sign in an account on the website, you choose what level of borrowing you need : "Diva : $99.95 per month", "Princess : $49.95 per month" or "Trendsetter : $19.95 per month" (it depends on the kind of bag you want to borrow) , choose your bag : Guess, Celine, Fendi, Versace, ... and you'll receive it by post.

I think it's a very good idea because luxury products are becoming more popular. Why only rich people could have great bags ?! It would be a good idea to develop it in France, I think it would have a lot of success !

LVMH : the stock increase

LVMH's stock rise up of 2% the 21st april 2005. The price was 56,10 euros. The 20.04.05, the group annonced a turn-over of 3,082 Billion Euros in the first quarter 2005, in organic growth of 11% compared to the first quarter 2004. They have confirmed for the whole exercise their objective of a new growth of the operational result.
In an unfavourable monetary environment, tourism validates its recovery and the American and Asian economies are in full expansion. In this context, LVMH will continue its development in 2005 with launchings of new products and the conquest of new markets. The increase in the shares of market and the improvement of the results for the companies which are in developement are a priority for LVMH. "All these elements make it possible to confirm the objective of a new significant growth of the operational result of the group in 2005".
It is important to understand the rises and falls of stock exchanges because it influence a lot the attitude of a company.

Dior has created a new range of make-up for Summer 2005. The main colour is pink and we know that's the colour of the year. Women like it because it's really fresh and pulpy ... Moreover, Milla Jovovitch (on the add)is a good choice to represent the new range : she is considered as a "sexy woman" !

Moët Hennessy : a good way of marketing

Moët Hennessy is headed for three years by a Belgian : Christophe Navarre. He decided to merge his different US sales and marketing operations into a single company. He wants to develop the real level of luxury and base his marketing on this. Moreover, the sales are very good in the US and Asia : that's why he want to continue to develop new stars like Dom Perignon and ad new alcohols like rum.
I think it's a real good way to keep the luxury characteristic in Alcohol because its a good representation for France abroad. Their marketing strategy is coherent and sales increase. They must keep this way ...

Uma Thurman and Vuitton : a new story ...

Uma Thurman is actually the new model Vuitton has chosen to promote this year its handbag campain. She'll earn a lot of money for this. But the question is : "Why Uma" ? The brand Louis Vuitton is french but they have chosen an american actress. Maybe is her recent success with the film "Kill Bill" the answer ... I don't think she's really representative for Vuitton in France but certainly abroad.
